Courtesy Call with the Deputy Governor of Marsabit on the IPDHE Project.
We recently met with H. E. Solomon Gubo, the Deputy Governor of Marsabit County, along with colleagues from VSO Ethiopia, Dr. Temesgen Alemu, Helen Tessema, Berhanu and Getayawkal, to provide an update on the IPDHE cross border project funded by Austrian Development Agency and implemented in partnership with VSO and Center for Development and Governance.
The Deputy Governor asked the team to consider prioritising support to the youth, to women groups, to key policies, and to ensure sustainability in the project. This project aims to reduce conflict and promote resilience and peaceful coexistence among communities along the Ethiopia-Kenya border.
