IPDHE Policy Review Workshop
On October 24, 2025, we successfully held a National and County Level Policy Review Workshop in Marsabit.
The following outcomes were achieved:
- We reviewed the progress of IPDHE policy review processes between 2024 and 2025, during which period 6 major policy review activities took place at local, county, national and cross border levels.
- We facilitated meaningful dialogue among government officials on key policy areas prioritized by communities living in cross border areas of Sololo and Moyale.
- Participants agreed on actionable next steps to institutionalize community action plans into our policy and budget processes.
Among the key participants were representatives from the Ministry of Interior, National Drought Management Agency, the County Assembly of Marsabit and the County Government of Marsabit. The IPDHE project is funded by Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and implemented in partnership with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and Center for Development and Governance(CDG).
