Prequalification of Suppliers 2026
We are inviting local businesses and service providers to apply to become a prequalified supplier for HODI. This process helps us identify trusted partners we can call on to supply goods and services for our work in Marsabit, Moyale, and across the Kenya-Ethiopia borderlands.
Prequalification is valid for two years. It is free to apply. The deadline for this first round of applications is September 10, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from all types of businesses, including sole traders, small businesses, and larger companies. Our goal is to support the local economy, so we encourage suppliers based in Marsabit and Moyale to apply.
How to Apply
Supplier Categories
You can apply for any of the categories where you have expertise. Please see the application pack for full details on what each category covers.
- Fuel, lubricants and gas
- Motor vehicle repair, maintenance, tyres and vehicle hire
- Hotels, conference facilities and catering
- Office consumables, stationery and general supplies
- Printing, branding, visibility and photography
- ICT equipment, connectivity and office equipment
- Construction, works, hardware and community project supplies
- Security services
- Professional and specialist services (e.g., consultancy, legal, audit)

Frequently Asked Questions
Nothing. Applying for prequalification with HODI is completely free. We do not charge any fees at any stage of the process.
Yes. All current and new suppliers must complete this process to be prequalified for 2026 to 2028.
A committee will review your application to make sure it is complete and meets the requirements. We will contact you to let you know the outcome.
We will still accept your application. It will be considered at our next review at a yet to be determined date.
