As part of our IPDHE cross border project, the project lead, Dr Temesgen Alemu, along with colleagues from VSO Ethiopia, Helen, Berhanu and Getayawkal, met with the Speaker of the County Assembly of Marsabit, Hon Edin Wario, the Deputy Clerk of the Assembly, Salim Kato and the Legal Counsel, Bokayo Guyo, to discuss priorities that the project can help the County Assembly to accomplish. Key policies and bills were among the issues that were discussed.
Funded by Austrian Development Agency, IPDHE is implemented in partnership with VSO and Center for Development and Governance and aims to reduce conflict and enhance resilience and peaceful co-existence of cross border communities at the Ethiopia-Kenya border.
