Annual Report 2024-2025

The last two years have been a testament to the power of community-led change. Across northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia, we reached 18,687 people directly and another 33,875 indirectly, fostering peace, empowering women and creating new opportunities for young people. This report shares the story of that journey.

Two Years at a Glance

52,562 People Reached

Across six projects in Kenya and Ethiopia, we connected with thousands of community members.

3,543 People in Peacebuilding

We trained over 320 people and established a new cross-border peace committee to resolve conflicts.

1,026 Youth in Football

Our Shoot to Score program engaged young people, including 318 girls, in positive, team-building activities.

857 People Supported Livelihoods

We helped build climate resilience through savings groups, tree planting, and support for households.

Our Work in 2024 and 2025

Our projects are designed to build peace from the ground up, creating sustainable change that is led by the communities we serve. Learn more about our main areas of work.

Shoot to Score

Using the power of football, this project opens conversations with young people about FGM, gender-based violence, and conflict. We trained 40 local coaches and registered 64 teams, seeing a 90% improvement in positive interaction between youth from different backgrounds.

Qusanno

Meaning “saving together,” Qusanno empowers women to form village savings groups. Three groups accumulated over KES 200,000 a month, using the funds for school fees, hospital bills, and strengthening small businesses.

Inter-Community Peace-Building, Cohesion and Rights Advocacy

This project strengthens the rights of women and other vulnerable community members while widening participation in decision-making. We protected water catchment areas, trained women in leadership, and ensured community voices were included in local and national policy-making.

Integrating Peacebuilding, Development and Humanitarian Efforts (IPDHE)

A cross-border project with our partners, IPDHE trained peace committees in eleven locations, trucked water during drought, and restocked households with goats to restore livelihoods. The project reached over 82,000 households in Kenya.

Mala Marii

Focused on building community resilience to climate change, this project trained 50 community facilitators who led dialogues, drafted petitions on local priorities, and advocated for community needs in the county budget process.

Building Resilient Households

We supported the Marsabit County government in making the Disaster Risk Management Act operational, helping establish the basis for a fund that can respond to drought and other emergencies.

Our Financials

We are committed to transparency and accountability. Over the last two years, nearly 60% of all expenditures went directly to project costs. Our accounts are independently audited every year and have received a clean audit for 16 consecutive years.
